1. Prepare Your Hair
Short Hair: If you have short hair, smooth it down as flat as possible using a comb or brush.
Long Hair: If you have long hair, part it down the middle and braid it into two pigtails. Cross the braids over the back of your head and secure them with bobby pins or a hairnet. Alternatively, you can twist your hair into a low bun and pin it flat.

2. Wear a Wig Cap
Purpose: A wig cap helps to keep your natural hair in place, creates a smooth surface, and ensures the wig stays secure.
How to Put It On: Stretch the wig cap over your head, starting from your forehead and pulling it back over your hair to the nape of your neck. Tuck in any loose hair around the edges.

3. Prepare the Wig
Check the Wig: Before putting it on, give the wig a gentle shake to loosen the fibers and check that the hair is arranged correctly.
Adjust the Wig: Most wigs have adjustable straps inside to fit your head size. Adjust these straps as needed for a snug fit.

4. Position the Wig
Front to Back: Hold the wig by the sides or the nape and position the front of the wig at your natural hairline. Place the wig on your head, starting at the front, and pull it back over your head towards the nape of your neck.
Adjust the Fit: Ensure the wig is centered by aligning the ear tabs (small flaps on the sides) with your temples. Adjust the wig so that it sits comfortably and covers the wig cap completely.

5. Secure the Wig
Comb or Brush: Use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to gently style the wig and remove any tangles. Be careful not to tug too hard, as this can damage the wig.
Secure with Pins: If needed, use bobby pins to secure the wig at the sides and back for extra security. Make sure the pins are hidden beneath the wig hair.

6. Style the Wig
Final Adjustments: Adjust the hairline and parting as needed. If the wig has bangs or fringe, you can style them according to your preference.
Use Styling Products: If your wig is heat-friendly, you can use styling tools like a flat iron or curling iron on a low setting. Otherwise, use wig-friendly styling products like sprays or gels to hold the style in place.

7. Check the Final Look
Mirror Check: Look at your wig from all angles in a mirror to ensure it looks natural and fits securely. Adjust as necessary to achieve the desired look.

Handy Tips:

Wig Glue or Tape: For extra security, especially with lace front wigs, you can use wig glue or double-sided tape to adhere the wig to your scalp along the hairline.

Blending the Hairline: If the wig is lace-front, use makeup or concealer that matches your skin tone to blend the lace into your natural hairline for a more seamless appearance.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your wig looks natural, feels comfortable, and stays securely in place throughout the day.
